A small-batch flower farm in Camp Dennison, Ohio.
A little bend in the river, and a bigger idea.
Little Bend is nestled right where the Little Miami River bends in Camp Dennison, Ohio. This river bottom has a rich history shaped by the elements, the people who have revered it, and the wildlife that calls it home.
Farming found Abby when life felt a bit upside down. A love of creating, some encouragement, and a big leap into the unknown led her to flower farming. Four years later, starting a farm of our own was the natural next step to ground everything this lifestyle has revealed.
This is our first true season.
We've spent the last year building things up: the soil, infrastructure, growing practices, and big ideas. Now we're ready to share what we're growing.
We're keeping things intentionally small so we can give it our best shot this year. Limited subscriptions, limited deliveries, and a light footprint on the farm. It feels right. If you subscribe this season, you're part of the beginning.
Regenerative, seasonal, and close to home.
We grow regeneratively, without all the B.S., and in tune with the seasons. That means everything starts with protecting the soil. Low-till methods, human-scale operations, cover cropping, and on-farm amendments keep us honest in our promise to leave things better than we found them.
We invite nature to do its thing by nurturing habitat for the wildlife that helps us out. Living soil, beneficial insects, predatory birds — they all show up to protect the system. Harsh chemicals don't have a place here.
Our flowers are a snapshot of what the Ohio River Valley has to offer each season. We don't fight the present moment. We believe in the impact of local flowers, grown here and in your hands the same day.
-
Seasonal, not forever.
We grow when the timing is right. Winter is for rest. Our blooms pack a punch, especially when they aren't flown across oceans to get to your door.
-
Local, not shipped.
Everything we sell is grown within 20 minutes of where it's delivered. Cut in the morning, on your table by afternoon.
-
Regenerative, not extractive.
Living soil is a little engine that can. Cover cropping, mulch, low disturbance, and amendments brewed on-site help us protect soil that gives back.
-
Small, on purpose.
Little Bend is just getting started. The two of us, plus Nessie the farm dog, want to do this well. No rush necessary.
